Elvis is Coming!

Okay, Bruce Campbell is coming! Are you a fan of the television shows Brisco County Junior or Burn Notice? Are you fans of the movie Bubba Ho-Tep or the Evil Dead (trilogy)? Well then you must be a fan of the most honest, hardest working, and highly entertaining actors in show business today, Bruce Campbell. Most often given a “B” in front of the moniker “actor”, Bruce, “B”? “A”? “C”?, Campbell is cool! So, you will be as excited as me to know that he’s doing a traditional “meet the fans” tour with one of his recent films “My Name is Bruce” (a horror-comedy-reality hybrid). If you don’t know, back in the old days the really classy actors toured with films and gave back to the audiences that made them rich. Now-a-days it just seems that they go around the world adopting children and making lots of money. To each his/her own I reckon but you gotta love Bruce Campbell. I’m venturing to say that you won’t want to miss him even if you just “like” the guyl. Here’s a link to his schedule…don’t miss seeing him. Though I am planning on recording his talk here :-) .

Cool Flash Quiz :: Survive a Zombie Outbreak?

Miracle Amish Space Heater

I imagine that a lot of people get suckered into purchasing one of these Chinese heaters and I figured that I would post my own findings. Why? Because while on a family outing one of us saw this “news article” in the paper talking about a miracle Amish heater. First off, the Amish don’t use modern technology and even if this was an honest article then I would be extremely suspect about an Amish person pushing technology. Right? Secondly, over on “Yahoo Answers” there is a very simple article explaining that this heater is as much a miracle as ANY other space heater. I hope this reaches someone before they go out and purchase one of these overpriced painted electric boxes.

Bay Area Activist Slain

I woke up early this morning and started my seemingly never-ending effort to find a full-time job but what I found was some very sad news…a young activist, Kirsten Brydum, from the SF Bay Area was murdered while in New Orleans. Apparently she was riding her bicycle late at night and a person shot her in the head and stole her bike and wallet. I did not know Kirsten personally but I am deeply saddened by this. There is a virtual memorial HERE for those interested in reading more about Kirsten.
